Animal Concern Acknowledged1 Lakewood Ct Savannah, Georgia, 31411 - Landings AssociationMy landscaper (Jones) reports that my citrus trees are being eaten by deer. The trees were severely harmed by the freeze in December and are now trying to recover. I have seen families of deer on and near my property (8+ members) within the past week on a frequent basis.

Animal Concern Archived1 Lakewood Ct Savannah, Georgia, 31411 - Landings AssociationThere is a small bat that seem potentially injured or diseased (rabies?) that has not left my back yard for several days. It appears incapable of flight but it is alive as it hissed at me when I pushed at it with a broom.

Animal Concern Archived1 Lakewood Ct Savannah, Georgia, 31411 - Landings AssociationThere are still too many deer in the Yam Gandy area. I have almost hit probably 15 or soon the past month at all times of the day and night. Even when driving my golf car on the path there have been occasions when I've had to hard stop to avoid striking a deer. There are some sizable bucks with 6 and 8 point antlers plus many "families" chomping on the vegetation, now doubly threatened by the hard freeze in December and the deer consuming what remains. Please cull out many more from this area as they present a safety concern in addition to damaging my landscaping.

Animal Concern Archived1 Lakewood Ct Savannah, GA, 31411, USA - Landings AssociationSaw the same large alligator or similar alligator that I reported a few weeks ago swallow another egret this morning on the bank of the lagoon to the right of the tees on Palmetto 18. There are very small children living in the vicinity of this lagoon and this alligator is a definite hazard. Please remove/re-home the alligator to a safer location.

Animal Concern Acknowledged1 Lakewood Ct Savannah, GA, 31411, USA - Landings AssociationOver the weekend there were perhaps 12+ deer at one time together (huge "family") at our home. The deer are consuming all sorts of our plants, including our camellias, and lantana which our landscaper says is exceedingly unusual. We use Deer Scram to war off the deer from eating our plants and that's not even enough often times.
