I just read the email regarding the county stating they have done a full sweep of the neighborhood for debris pickup, and that now the remaining debris is due to ongoing piles dumped after they went through. This is not true. Our street cleaned up on Tuesday, the day after the hurricane, and it has not had a single pile removed. I am not so much complaining, as i realize this is a difficult task, but I also don't want the county pretending they have done their job thoroughly when in fact they haven't. They left us totally out on our own for weeks after Matthew, I don't want them acting like they've done us a super favor when they haven't even done what they have claimed. These piles are now at 4 weeks of drying out on the roadside, and probably are a fire hazard and home to who knows how many critters.
